Brooklyns Finest is a bay colt born 1/24/2020 from West Coast’s (Flatter / Caressing, by Honour and Glory) FIRST CROP and is Sweet Offer’s (Candy Ride / Fair Exchange, by Storm Cat) FIRST FOAL.

West Coast was the 2017 Champion 3-Year-Old Eclipse Award Winner. In 2018, he was ranked 9th by earnings in the USA. He is a Multiple Grade 1 Winner of six races and $5,803,800. He won the Gr. 1 Travers Stakes, the Gr.1 Pennsylvania Derby, and the Gr.3 Los Alamintos Derby. He placed 2nd in the Gr. 1 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes, the Gr.1 Awesome Again Stakes, the Gr.3 Stonestreet Lexington Stakes, and the Gr.1 Dubai World Cup. He was 3rd in the Gr.1 Breeders’ Cup, beating War Story, Arrogate, and Gunnevera.

Brooklyns Finest’s second dam, Fair Exchange, has produced four winners from four starters including MGSW Sidney’s Candy with seven wins and $1,104,810 in earnings. She also produced GSW Sweet Swap, who has campaigned in the USA as well as Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. Her third dam, Exchange, was a GSW millionaire who on the board 26 out of 30 starts and won three Grade 1 events, four Grade 2 events, and multiple Black Type races. She also placed in multiple graded stakes races.

Before we purchased Brooklyns Finest, we reviewed the West Coast ranking in the Stallion Spectator Ratings (SSR) – a scale used to predict the success of a sire when they go to stud. West Coast scored a rare 9 out of 9 based on their 150 date point systems. From 1994 to 2008 there were ONLY seven sire prospects who scored this high. They were A.P. Indy, Giant’s Causeway, Montgeu, Dixie Union, Galileo, Empire Maker, and Bernardini. In other words, West Coast is predicted to be an exceptional sire and by the looks of his first crop, it seems evident!
