Competitive Edge  ( Super Saver / Magdalena’s Chase, by Cape Town ) entered into stud in 2016 and has four first-crop stakes winners to his credit. On the track he was a precocious runner who broke his maiden in his first attemp in Saratoga, and just a little over a month later he won the $350,000 Gr.1 Hopeful Stakes. He then went on to win the $60,000 Tamarac Stakes in Gulfstream Park where he beat the multiple black type and graded stakes winner, Mr. Jordan. Competitive Edge also won the Gr.3 Pat Day Mile Stakes at Churchill Downs.

The filly’s dam, Longstocking ( Into Mischief / Pot of Tricks, by Mazel Trick ) was an $80,000 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July yearling in 2013. At the races, she finished in the top three in 13 of her 23 starts and earned $133,264 while competing at the four major tracks in North America (Saratoga, Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita and Del Mar) in 21 of her 23 starts. Her dam, Pot of Tricks, produced five other winners, including Dangerous Maize (57-5-6-6, $119,505), Tale Be Told ($81,449) and Start Your Engine ($74,746).

Into Mischief ( Harlan’s Holiday / Leslie’s Lady, by Tricky Creek ) is a back-to-back champion general sire of 2019 and 2020, who has shattered the single-season progeny earnings record in 2020 – becoming the first ever to eclipse $20 million. His 2021 stud fee is $225,000 at Spendthrift Farm. He is the only sire of five seven-figure yearlings in 2020 and he is the sire of two Breeders’ Cup and Eclipse champions in 2020 – Authentic and Gamine. In 2021, he already has 22 BTWs and 10 GSWs.
